Amanda Morrison has studied with the Queen City Ballet since its inception in 2001. Amanda attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet’s Summer Intensive in 2010,and was accepted to the Kirov Academy year-long program in Washington,D.C. Amanda was awarded a full-scholarship to the Ballet West summer intensive in Salt Lake City. She was also accepted to summer intensive programs at the American Ballet Theatre,the Bolshoi Academy,and Ballet Austin. In 2010 and 2011 she received scholarships from the Montana Dance Arts Association. Amanda competed in the Youth America Grand Prix Competition in Denver in 2011 and the American Ballet Competition in Miami,Florida in 2008. Amanda has played the roles of Clara,Naughty Girl,Chinese and Snow in the QCB production of the Nutcracker and has performed in Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. She was awarded the Queen City Ballet Award of Excellence in 2010.
